Tonight at new year’s eve a wonderful year ends. 2017 was a year full of work and many great tours in and around Vienna with you. I appreciate each and every encounter I had and the chance to show many of you this beautiful city that I am happy to call my hometown. I appreciate what I learned from you and experienced with you.

Here in Austria tonight we welcome the new year – “same procedure like every year” 😉 – with the sound of St. Stephan’s Cathedral’s Pummerin and the Danube Walz and try us again in some dancing.
Wherever this year is coming to an end for you, I wish you all the best for the coming one!

By the way, next year we will not only commemorate the founding of the first Austrian Republic 1918 but also the life and work of many great artist like Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt, Koloman Moser and Otto Wagner. For this special commemoration I developed special guided tours. I will be happy to welcome you at some of them.
Otto Wagner will also be the focus of tomorrows New Years Concert of the Viennese Philharmonics, which for the fifth time will be conducted by Riccardo Muti.

So wherever you are, be safe and happy. And take my best wishes for 2018 tonight with you!
